Twelve chairs in a garden

In occasion of the Design Week Fondazione Luigi Rovati will host Giulio Iacchetti’s installation Twelve chairs in a garden. Twelve modular seats by Metalco from the series “Isometric Chair” will be on display in its garden in Milan at Corso Venezia 52. Built in HPC, a high performance concrete particularly longlasting and resilient the seats present a structure that allows many different configurations: it is possible to assemble them to compose benches and multiple seats flanking them with rubbish bins belonging to the same series. The square geometry of the seats will contrast with the soft and curvy lines of the garden: some of them will be placed on top of the three domes distinguishing the Foundation’s garden in a quiet dialogue with the surrounding nature others will be distributed along the walkway to be available to all visitors.

Saturday April 22 2023 at 11.00 a.m. Giulio Iacchetti and Luca Molinari will be in dialogue on the subject Twelve chairs in the garden and other design stories. At the end of the conversation the author will sign copies of his book Semplici formalità published by Johan & Levi editore.
