Ancient Art: a Dialogue between Friends

Wednesday 29 January

On Wednesday 29 January, Fondazione Luigi Rovati hosts the meeting Ancient Art: a Dialogue between Friends.

In conversation Maurizio Harari and Giulio Paolucci presenting the volume Verbis ut imagine pingo. Studies in honour of Maurizio Harari, edited by M. Di Fazio, M.E. Gorrini and S. Paltineri

The meeting takes its cue from the volume Verbis ut imagine pingo - edited by M. Di Fazio, M.E. Gorrini and S. Paltineri, - which collects contributions from colleagues, friends and alumni of Professor Maurizio Harari, and celebrates his more than forty years of research and teaching in the disciplinary fields of Etruscology and Classical Antiquities.

His academic career was continuous (until his termination in 2024) at the University of Pavia, where he served as director of the Department of Humanities and member of the Academic Senate (2015-2021), as well as scientific director (2009-2024) of the Museum of Archaeology. A graduate in Humanities from the University of Pavia, he was a student at the prestigious Ghislieri College in Pavia, with which he has always maintained a special bond.

Talking with him is Giulio Paolucci, an Etruscologist and archaeologist, curator of the Fondazione Luigi Rovati Art Museum.
