Fondazione Luigi Rovati is awarded the “Etruscan Foundation Cultural Heritage Preservation Fellowship 2024”.
The Etruscan Foundation is dedicated to the divulgation of new discoveries and developments in Etruscan studies, investigating the cultural and material history of this ancient people and those who preceded and followed them in the Tuscan territory. It also works towards the documentation, conservation and restoration of significant examples of rural architecture in Tuscany.
This recognition is an important acknowledgement of the Fondazione Luigi Rovati's commitment to generating knowledge and social utility, from archaeology and art history to the experimentation of artistic expression as a tool for social welfare. The Foundation organises exhibitions, events, conferences across different fields. It encourages research and promotes educational activities.
This Fellowship allowed Fondazione Luigi Rovati to conduct important conservation treatment of select Etruscan artifacts from the Art Museum’s permanent collection, which are now on display in the exhibition “Vulci. Goods for Mankind. Goods for Gods”.
