THE IXth EDITION OF THE BIENNALE GIOVANI MONZA AT THE BELVEDERE DELLA REGGIA

The Biennale Giovani Monza will open on September 25th. Since 2005 this international event has brought the excellence of the Art Academies from all over Italy to the public attention. The exhibition, held for the first time at the Belvedere della Reggia, is displaying the work of thirty young artists from various nationalities – three students selected for each of the ten Academies involved in the project. The work of these artists outlines a possible panorama of the future of contemporary art in Italy.

By renewing its support for the 2021 edition of the Biennale, Fondazione Luigi Rovati continues its commitment to the territory through in-depth cultural initiatives and its support for the new generations.

In 2005 the historic national painting exhibition Premio Città di Monza, born in the 1950s, renewed its identity by transforming itself into the Biennale Giovani Monza. The new name expresses the desire to give new importance to the young talents of the Italian art scene and to investigate the most current expressions of creativity. Following the tradition, the Committee aims to acquire some of the students’ works to expand the collection of the Civic Art Gallery with a real documentation of today’s art.

Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm (last admission at 5.30 pm)
Tickets to the first and second floor + the Belvedere: € 10.00 | reduced € 8.00
Access only with Green Pass
