Fondazione Luigi Rovati receives the ADI Compasso d’Oro 2024 Award

Fondazione Luigi Rovati, with the studio MCA - Mario Cucinella Architects, has received the Compasso d'Oro ADI 2024 Award, one of the most prestigious national and international design prizes

The Fondazione Luigi Rovati was awarded the Compasso d'oro ADI 2024 prize by the jury, in the "Exhibition design" category, with the following motivation: museographic and museological exhibition design that takes its cue from the relationship with the tradition of sculpture, creating an emotionally involving environment and emphasising the relationship between the user and cultural heritage.
A rare accolade for a museum that has nevertheless always given a "design" value to its architectural project, developed with the collaboration of MCA - Mario Cucinella Architects. A 'large' design object that, like a 'small' design object, combines aesthetic, functional and service values for the public.

The ADI Compasso d'Oro 2024 Award therefore goes to the project in its entirety, in the reconstructed morphology of the spaces and environments, in the digital and sustainable energy infrastructures. A globality that has seen many skills at work, integrated with each other and guided by the Fondazione.

Giovanna Forlanelli, President of the Fondazione Luigi Rovati: The project is the result of a cooperative effort that involved not only technical knowledge, but also the people themselves. This award therefore goes, on behalf of the Foundation receiving it, to all these people.

Two years after the opening of the building, the award seals this cooperative strength and the foresight with which the Fondazione conceived and directed the project, building an interdisciplinary and meta-cultural value, that of the centrality of art combined with that of science.
This prize is the latest in a series of awards obtained by the Fondazione since its opening. Awards and mentions that represent all the specificities involved in the project: from the initial conceptual conception to the physical and technological completion of all the building's components.

The awards, however, do not only refer to an accomplished past, but are also a drive for constant evolution and experimentation of the Fondazione and its projects. These include the relationship between art and well-being, with a special focus on inclusiveness in support of disabilities.

A value that is oriented towards the public and social benefit, the true asset together with the Fondazione's art collections.
