Our history

The Fondazione Luigi Rovati was established in 2016, stemming from passion for art and culture and a long history in the pharmaceutical industry.

The Foundation brings together a decade’s experience of social responsibility initiatives based on innovative, often visionary projects, focusing on art – from ancient to contemporary – and on its educational and formative applications, as well as on the urge to combine scientific culture with the culture of beauty and creativity.

The Foundation is named after Professor Luigi Rovati, Cavaliere del Lavoro and Cavaliere di Gran Croce dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana. In 1961 he founded Rotta Research Laboratorium in Monza, a laboratory for research and development of new drugs.
